If you speak about the modern day now, I think men and women are equal. But how did we get this far. It were because some women had had the courage to step up and to gain their rights in society. Without those women, could we have the respect like we have today? Could we speak for ourselves when the men do us wrong? If there weren’t those women we could have been the same, “less than a man”. Even now, women are still fighting for equal right because you can see how abusive it is to women in some country. You know which countries.
For thousand years, women were treated less than men, or even possessions of men after marriage. But now women have more than that. I am lucky to be born in this time around because if I was born back in the ancient time, I am not sure if I would have the courage to fight for equal right or just humbly accept it.
I am speaking about equality but does not mean that man and woman have to be equal. It means that the men should treat his women as equal. Loves the person who bares his child. Respects the person who supports him in the house. She is someone he should always love and respect as long as they are together. Men and women are born not to compare with each other gender but to support each other in life. Without one another, there’s no other life can be made.
I studied English 12 First People and I love how the men respect their women because women are the one who give life to new born.
And even in the bible they have;
“And Adam called his wife’s name Eve, because she was the mother of all living.” Genesis 3:20)
“Now Deborah, a prophet, the wife of Lappidoth, she judged Israel at that time.” (Judges 4:4) God chose a woman, Deborah, to guide Israel.
“Mary Magdalene went and said to the disciples, “I have seen the Lord”; and she told them that he had said these things to her.” (John 20:18) The first person to see Jesus after his crucifixion was a woman, Mary
I am not fighting. I am just making a point.
The real men are the men who respect women. The men who look down on women as some kind of object are nothing but scumbags.
