Time goes so fast that when I take a look at my old blog now it was already over a year that I didn’t get on the blog. I am so surprised that my writing back then was quite good. The stories I wrote were so touching. I stopped writing for awhile too and somehow I miss it. I want to go back to creative writing but I have already finished Creative Writing 12. I want to go to University for that, but it’s a pain in the ass to take course in University because they will ask you to get high school diploma before you can attend to the course you want. It’s just a waste of time to do that because the only thing I want to study is Creative Writing.
Oh well enough of complaining about classes
If I won $3 million lottery I wouldn’t mind spending time study the whole high school diploma until I get to University for Creative Writing. Haha, I know it’s not gonna happen that’s why I said so. If it happens, I would be traveling around and investing my money already.
Human being is selfish creatures. They never get enough of what they have. They have this, then they will want that. And when they have more, they want more. That’s how life people live. They can never stop and be happy of what they’re having.
They say you have to have ambition and always strike forward to be on top “All The Time”! I find it’s tiring. I admit that I am a competitive person, but I’m not interested in to be on top. Because once you get there, you will never stop to do whatever it takes to keep your position and that make people become selfish and greedy and that is when people start to lose most of the precious things they first have in life.
I like to keep the old me and I never want to change. Even though people will say you can be on top and you don’t have to change yourself. I find it’s impossible to do so. Believe me or not, it’s one way or the other.
Just like in this short story about the Mexican fisherman, you may get my point
The Mexican Fisherman
“The American investment banker was at the pier of a
small coastal Mexican village when a small boat with
just one fisherman docked.
Inside the small boat were several large yellow fin tuna.
The American complimented the Mexican on the quality
of his fish and asked how long it took to catch them.
The Mexican replied, “Only a little while.”
The American then asked, “Why didn’t you stay out longer
and catch more fish?”
The Mexican said, “With this I have more than enough to support my family’s needs.”
The American then asked, “But what do you do with the rest of your time?”
The Mexican fisherman said, “I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, take siesta with my wife, Maria, stroll into the village each evening where I sip wine and play guitar with my amigos, I have a full and busy life.”
The American scoffed, “I am a Harvard MBA and could help you. You should spend more time fishing; and with the proceeds, buy a bigger boat: With the proceeds from the bigger boat you could buy several boats. Eventually you would have a fleet of fishing boats. Instead of selling your catch to a middleman you would sell directly to the
processor; eventually opening your own cannery. You would control the product, processing and distribution. You would need to leave this small coastal fishing village and move to Mexico City, then Los Angeles and eventually New York where you will run your ever-expanding enterprise.”
The Mexican fisherman asked, “But, how long will this all take?”
To which the American replied, “15 to 20 years.”
“But what then?” asked the Mexican.
The American laughed and said that’s the best part. “When the time is right you would announce an IPO and sell your company stock to the public and become very rich, you would make millions.”
The American said, “Then you would retire. Move to a small coastal fishing village where you would sleep late, fish a little, play with your kids, take siesta with your wife, stroll to the village in the evenings where you could sip wine and play your guitar with your amigos.””
Okay, I’m a bit off topic, but I think woman is good at multi-tasking. We can just put all the stuff together and say it at one.
It’s Lunar first day of New Year. I hope this year I’ll do better and have more money to spend also be able to take care of my small little mommy family back in my country so they don’t have to suffer in debt. Seriously that’s what I always want to be able to do for my little family in there. Other than that, I just want to make enough money and live my easy life without worrying about trick and tick to get on top. Also, I would like to have plenty of money so that when I get sick I have some to spend on the hospital. That’s all!!! And if I get married…I have money to take care of my own family and kids. Hehehe. Easy as that 😉
